The Argues

Canadian indie country-rock family band The Argues won BEST COUNTRY at the 2017 Toronto Independent Music Awards and placed in the Top Ten in CBC’s 2017 SEARCHLIGHT competition for Central Ontario.

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist sisters Sabrina, 20, and Lauren, 22 front the band.  Along with their band-mate parents, drummer Chantale and guitarist Michael, they draw comparisons to TV’s Partridge Family, but their unique sound is more like Grace Potter & The Nocturnals or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Their original country-rock music and rock/ blues covers can be heard at countless festivals, events and venues. The Argues have shared the stage with Andrew Hyatt, River Town Saints, Jack de Keyzer and other great Canadian artists.

The band released their single I Don’t Need You to Canadian Country Radio June 2018 with national airplay and a successful radio tour in summer of 2018.

The Argues’ latest single Enjoy This Night was released June 2019, receiving national airplay on Canadian Country Radio and placement on Spotify’s New Music Nashville playlist.

Given performance restrictions of 2020, the band has been in studio recording music for their upcoming album with a single release planned for early 2021!
